Since the introduction of the Nitro RS3, Vertigo has continuously refined its platform, introducing improvements year after year. The RS4 is the result of this ongoing development process, representing a significant enough step to introduce a new generation, while retaining a proven and extensively developed technical foundation. .
Evolution, not revolution.
The transmission and gear selector are among the main areas of development. Based on the original design developed by Xiu-RDI for Vertigo, the assembly has been optimized through revisions to tolerances, internal components, manufacturing processes and internal friction. The introduction of application-specific bearings and a new fully CNC-machined aluminum gearbox support helps improve precision, rigidity and operational consistency. The selector has also been redesigned to deliver smoother and more precise gear changes.
The clutch system has also undergone a significant evolution. New self-centering leverage mechanisms ensure more consistent force transmission throughout the entire lever travel. The result is a more linear and progressive response, providing a more direct connection between rider input and clutch operation.
In terms of engine development, the cylinder cooling system has been completely redesigned in collaboration with S3. The new configuration simplifies assembly, reduces variables in the manufacturing process and eliminates the small circuit integrated into the crankcase, while opening up new possibilities for the future development of the platform.
Electronics represent another major advancement for the Nitro RS4. The new model offers a choice of two engine management systems: a new ECU developed by Xiu-RDI specifically for the RS4, and an evolved Emoticom system featuring enhanced sensor capabilities and engine data acquisition. Both solutions share the same objective: to optimize available information and deliver more precise control.
To make the most of these systems, Vertigo has also upgraded the entire electrical installation, improving signal reception and integrity, electrical distribution and connection reliability between sensors and the control unit. This is particularly important in a fuel-injected two-stroke engine, where the quality of the information reaching the ECU is essential to overall performance.
The RS4 builds on all the knowledge accumulated throughout the development of the RS3 and the successive evolutions of the platform. Combining expertise in design and manufacturing with racing experience and feedback from riders and customers, Vertigo has refined the motorcycle down to the smallest details.
Furthermore, the development of the RS4 extends beyond the new model itself. Many of the solutions introduced can also be adapted to existing Vertigo Nitro motorcycles, depending on their version and configuration, bringing the benefits of this new generation to the wider Nitro family.
The new Vertigo Nitro RS4 2027 retains the core values that define the brand: lightness, control, precision, simplicity and feel. A comprehensive evolution that is not about reinventing what already works, but about continuously refining it through experience, engineering and development.

The new Vertigo Nitro RS4 2027 will be available in two distinctive color schemes: the brand's signature green and an attractive red-toned version that gives the new generation a different identity. Both versions feature Vertigo's characteristic «snake skin» plastic finish, a distinctive solution designed to protect the surfaces and extend their service life.
